France Medias Monde announces a record year in digital in 2022 with more than 3.4 billion video views and audio starts on all platforms (+53% vs 2021)* and nearly 600 million visits on its proprietary digital environments (+6% vs 2021).
These historic results are accompanied by qualitative performances: the average viewing time on YouTube is more than 5 minutes, on Facebook it is three tiems longer than the average on this social network (30 seconds), and the average duration of a visit on the group’s proprietary environements is 8:20 minutes (+12% vs 2021).
On social networks, RFI, France 24 and Monte Carlo Doualiya now have a community of over 100 million subscribers (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram). On YouTube, France 24 has more than 13 million subscribers, while RFI passed the million-subscriber mark in 2022 for its French-language channel, and is approaching 2 million subscribers in all languages. The number of subscribers to the France Médias Monde Group’s YouTube channels has increased by 27% compared to 2021, i.e. over 15 million subscribers in total**.
These very good results confirm the success of France Médias Monde’s global digital strategy, which aims to develop offers adapted to all uses and all platforms, and to win over and retain new users in both proprietary environments and on social networks. These results also attest to the appetite of global audiences for the digital offerings of French international channels.
