RFI confirms its success in Benin

Listened to by nearly one in three inhabitants each week (32.4%) in Cotonou, RFI is the leading international radio station in Benin and in the top 10 of the most popular radio stations of the country. With 53 minutes of listening time per day, RFI even comes in fourth in terms of the most time spent listening to a radio station.

RFI is ranked top 3 radio on all indicators which measure awareness and audience of radio stations among Beninese executives and managers. All of the respondents say they know RFI and 66.9% listen to it every week.

RFI is considered to be a radio station with a large network of correspondents around the world, particularly in Africa, delivering “quality news and analysis” thanks to the expertise of its journalists who “know Africa very well”.

The rising performance of the group’s digital activities

The very good audience figures of RFI and France 24 in Benin are accompanied by the good performance online of both media, with more than 2.8 million visits** in 2021.

In Benin, RFI is broadcast on FM frequencies in Cotonou (90 FM) and Parakou (106,1 FM), as well as on short wave frequencies throughout the country. It also has 13 partner radio.
